Spina task chair
Sit as you wish / without thinking / move freely / without hesitation / as Spina moves with you. Seamless, spontaneous support, no matter your height or weight. Spina is a direct response to the fact that in the average workplace, most of us simply don’t have the time to understand and take advantage of our task chair’s functionality. Yet the need to counter work environment stress and maintain physical and mental well being are considered more critical than ever before. Essentially, the benefits of the new Spina chair are that it makes seat depth and lumbar adjustments unnecessary. Spina solves the problem of how to make someone comfortable, the moment they sit down. Take a seat in Spina and one of the first things you’ll notice is Spina's `touchdown comfort`.

Urban choice
Spina’s ‘Passive Seat Slide’ (PSS) mechanism allows the seat to sink backwards, bringing the sitter’s body towards the lumbar. Simultaneously, the Active Lumbar Support (ALS) automatically moves forward, triggering a feeling of comfort in the lower back, hips and pelvis. These two mechanisms function in one seamless, harmonious movement, so Spina is always perfectly tuned to the individual. With its PSS and ALS mechanisms, Spina provides spontaneous, supportive seating, even when changing postures, reclining or leaning forward. All without any need for manual adjustment. By harnessing our natural compulsion to move, users don’t have to be taught how to ‘drive’ the chair. Spina lets you sit naturally, subconsciously and always supported.
Oh, by the way, this is Urban's favourate task chair, test drive one in our London showroom.© Copyright Urban Office Interiors Ltd 2011
