Tide is six modular pieces — a pouf, a single seat, a corner and three two-seat units — that work on their own or connect into whatever the space needs. Runs along a wall, islands in the middle of a floor, or clusters around a table.
Nothing is fixed. An arrangement that suits the room this year can be pulled apart and rebuilt next year without buying anything new, which is what makes it work in spaces that keep changing shape.
The name comes from the shape. The backrests rise gently rather than squarely, so a run of Tide reads as a low horizontal line rather than a barrier across the floor.
At 690mm to the top of the backrest, and 400mm for the pouf, sightlines stay open across an open-plan floor. That matters when a breakout area sits inside the workspace rather than in a room of its own.
Wave-sprung seats over T30 foam and high-fluffy wadding, with backrests supported on upholstery belts. Frames are beech and pine with furniture board and fibre board, on black plastic slide feet.
Rated to 120kg per seat, certified to BS 5852: Part 2: 1982, and covered by a 10 year warranty. Built for breakout areas, reception and waiting spaces, hospitality venues and other public interiors where seating is in use all day.
